Swiss QR Bill and VAT Invoice Questions
Getting Started
What is a MyInvoice and why do I need it?
A MyInvoice is the modern payment slip standard in Switzerland, mandatory since June 2020. It replaces the old orange and red payment slips. The QR code contains all payment information, making it easier for customers to pay and for you to track payments. All Swiss businesses must use QR Bills for invoicing.

A compliant VAT invoice Switzerland must include all core identification, service, and tax details. If you are VAT-registered (annual revenue over CHF 100,000), your UID-MWST must appear on every invoice. Swiss VAT rates are 8.1% (standard), 2.6% (reduced), or 0% (exempt). VAT must be shown when you are registered — exempt businesses may issue invoices without VAT.
